Build a campaign sheet that separates clicks from outcomes
A campaign report becomes easier to discuss when different kinds of evidence have different columns. Teams working across markets can separate what an advertising platform reported from what the business confirmed, without assuming that the two measures mean the same thing.

Use a stable campaign naming record
Choose a simple naming convention and record the campaign’s intended audience, message and destination. Keep changes dated so that a later reviewer can understand which version was running. A familiar campaign name should not conceal a changed offer, a different landing page or a new measurement setup.
UTM parameters can identify referring campaigns in acquisition reporting where analytics is appropriately configured. Use a consistent naming record so that the same campaign is not accidentally split across several labels. A label alone does not prove that every click became a genuine enquiry or that a particular advertisement caused a later purchase or other business outcome.
Separate activity, quality and confirmed outcomes
Create one area for reported activity, another for the quality checks you can actually perform and another for verified business outcomes. Define what counts as a qualified enquiry before reviewing results. Keep duplicate, incomplete or irrelevant enquiries visible as categories rather than quietly treating every submission as a sale.
Mark the source and limitations of each figure. Some outcomes may be delayed, untracked or affected by consent choices and devices. A blank field should mean unknown, not automatically zero. Avoid combining numbers collected under different definitions simply because they can be placed on the same chart.
Use the sheet to make a bounded decision
At the review, state which question the evidence can answer. It may support changing an unclear landing page or testing another message without proving a full return-on-investment claim. Record other changes that occurred during the period, such as a stock issue or a different follow-up process, before attributing everything to advertising.
Share aggregated results whenever individual customer details are unnecessary. A campaign sheet should improve decisions rather than create another uncontrolled store of personal information. This independent global guide does not imply a platform partnership, guaranteed performance, a particular country’s privacy compliance or services available in every market.
- Record campaign names, definitions and dated changes.
- Keep platform activity separate from confirmed business outcomes.
- Label unknown or delayed information instead of inventing certainty.
- Use aggregated evidence to make a clearly bounded next decision.
